After spending many years of studying Klaipeda and it's history I came to a conclusion that it is not well represented, thus I came up with a tour that aims to reveal the most remarkable stories of the historical old town that you will remember afterwards.

Tour description

Holiday photos are always a must, but memories is what stays with us. Every place that you visit has a story to tell - let me tell the story of oldest town in Lithuania and its role in a context of the global historical events. Together we will connect the past with the present whilst enjoying our time in historical old town.
The old town tour usually takes approximately 1h 30min or up to two-hours. We will visit the most iconic places in Klaipeda to discover how the city and the people who lived here have changed.

Please note: Regular tours at 5PM are guaranteed with 2 or more people.
10am and 12pm tours are subject to availability and not guaranteed - only prepaid version is guaranteed.

We will start next to the Symbol of Klaipeda- Meridian Ship

Visit the Theater square and reveal the untold stories that the cobbled stone streets of Klaipeda hide. Also what role has Klaipeda region played prior to the WW2
Our tour will end at the Jonas Hill https://maps.app.goo.gl/XzCteztWiharnV4J8 where a panoramic view of the city view will allow us to understand the historical timeline of the city and the hardship that the locals lived through.

KLAIPEDA FREE WALKING TOUR

We will meet in front of the "Meridianas" sailing ship which is one of the main symbols of the city. A brief introduction about Lithuania will lead to contextualizing Klaipeda in the context of the country and the rest of the Europe. A bronze sculpture/ city map will then help to us review the upcoming tour and the highlights of it

At the stop of narrow old cobble-stone streets of Klaipeda we will discover why this city is so different from other Lithuanian cities and who were the people who have lived here thorough the centuries. A bronze sclupture "TOWER" will help us identify the remarkable and little know facts about the historical town.

City hall - it is not the building, but the people who have lived here is so important for the city. How a small province village became a well know city ? All of this and more will be revealed...
