Free walking tour durch Durres

We spent nice morning in Durres with Franco. He confirmed the tour an evening before and also ask us to confirm it an hour before. We were quite in rush to catch the bus to Tirana at 12:30 and Franco offered that we can leave our backpacks in his car during the tour and even gave us a lift to the bus station after the tour, very kind from him. We have seen amphitheatre, roman baths and forum excavation, pass by mosque and climbed hill with Durres Tower with a nice views over the Durres. Franco is very knowledgeable, certified guide, with excellent English. I can highly recommend this tour with Franco.

Now we know more about Dürres' story. Tip: make clear the place to meet near the operahouse. A flag, a sign etc would help finding where to start.

Franco was a great guide, intelligent, very knowledgeable, and kind. He talked about Albanian history, architecture and religion in an interesting way and in the connext with the current situation. He even drove me to the city centre and back when he found out I lived nearby his place. I definitely recommend his services!
