Really enjoyed the unique insights into Napoli provided by Lorenza. It was refreshing to see and gain some understanding of the contrasting neighbourhoods and cultures within the city, rather than visit the standard historic sights. Lorenza was positive as we waited for our group to assemble, and engaging while getting to know us on the way up the funicular. Her English is very good and she relays history, mythology and the ways of Napoli well, with humour and person anecdotes. The route itself is downhill/down stairs with expected irregular surfaces. Lorenza reminds you of the cautions to be taken with traffic when the times comes in downtown. We went a bit over the time frame due to a slight delay in start and a number of good discussions. The payment device was clearly not working despite several attempts, but we all adapted; a good case to have a supply of cash for travel foibles. In mid-December be sure to have an extra jacket, go to the washroom beforehand, and expect to finish in the dark. Recommended!
Great and very informative tour. Stefano is a brilliant and knowledgeable guide and he took us to a less known but beautiful part of the city. We saw some stunning views and learn many new things about Naples. A highly recommended tour.
