Vlaho was not available to do the tour and we had a substitute tour guide, Victor do the tour for us. He is average, and we stayed to the end even though some wanted to leave earlier. We tipped him properly for his time and information on Dubrovnik.

Giving tours for many years I give myself the right to say that good tours must not only show the positive side, but reality, which sometimes must inform you of the negatives, leaving them aside would be lying. Yes, we might not always agree with that is said, but that makes the world a great place to live as the freedom of expression is one of the essential foundations of a democratic society. This was a very informative tour. I’m glad I did it. Vhalo knows his city and the history, from its origins through the Homeland War, which he is passionate about. This is more of a serious walking tour and less light-hearted. You aren’t entertained, you’re educated.
