Nadia is a very knowledgeable tour guide, however it was not what we expected. Spent 30 minutes in a history lecture at the same meeting point (could be shorter). We didn’t go in the museum - not sure why that’s the starting point besides showing us a mural. Walked to the Mosque but weren’t even able to go in - in a tour it would have been nice to even do a 15 minute walk around the mosque. We went to places like Central Market and China Town and barely had time to look around as it was very rushed. Nadia was very knowledgeable but the tour could be planned better
Antwort von GuruBelow is my response to your 'Public Review' : It was clearly stated in my itinerary / tour description that the visitation to the National Museum was only meant to be an 'Outside Visit'. The entrance fee to the National Museum is RM5 per person. Not every walker is willing to fork out money for entrance fees. At the same time, I do not see why the National Museum is not a good place for a meeting point. Most tours do not include National Museum into their itinerary so it can be an opportunity for walkers to check out the place. Plus, it takes at least 3 hours to read through the things in there. The place itself can be a separate tour on its own. Moreover, the National Museum is a convenient place to meet. It is accessible by LRT, MRT, Grab and if you are living nearby, it is walkable. In reference to the National Mosque, it has also been stated in my itinerary / tour description that it is an 'Outside Visit'. Generally, half of the walkers that joins this tour are usually well-travelled walkers. Most of them have previously visited plenty of mosques. Therefore, it is unfair to make it compulsory to enter the National Mosque. I want to reiterate again that it has been indicated in the itinerary / tour description that it is only an 'Outside Visit'. Guruwalk has also sent me the 'Private Review' done by you. You mentioned there was no time given for shopping and eating in Central Market & Chinatown. I have informed you repeatedly that this tour is mainly about history / information. This was indicated and communicated in my tour description, messages in the Guruwalk groupchat + whatsapp and during briefing before the tour started. You even agreed and acknowledged my messages. I have saved copies of these evidence in my phone. In addition, I did not mention in my itinerary / tour description that I will be giving time for shopping and eating in Central Market & Chinatown. It is only out of goodwill and kindness that i recommended a batik shop for local handicrafts and suggested local restaurants to eat. But you have turned it around and are now accusing me of not giving you time to shop and eat. Therefore, stop telling lies. There are 3 other walkers (who were there in the tour with us) that can be witnesses and attest to this.
