If in tashkent- I'd recommend hiring a guide with his/her own vehicle as a paid tour...The sightseeing is spread out so only way to experience the city well. English is an issue - so no one at the monuments/ sightseeing stops to give any information unless you have your own guide
That was probably the worst free walking tour I've been on. The guide just rattled off his facts and showed my sense of humour. After 2½ hours we finished at the mausoleum. The bazaar, one of the reasons why I went on this tour, was no longer possible. When one of the participants asked how far it was, the guide explained that you had to take the bus there. Sorry, but it was clear from the start that it wouldn't work out. It seemed to me that the guide was just quickly ticking off another tour.
Our guide was a really nice person who offered to drive us through some interesting parts of the town because some people on the tour wanted that - but I felt I learnt very little to nothing from him in terms of Uzbek history or culture.
Unfortunately, we were kind of disappointed from the tour. The tour guide did not interact with us at all. He wasn’t proficient in English. He was not speaking very loud at all. It was hard to keep up with the story because there wasn’t not a common thread. I appreciate the effort and the fact that I saw places that I wouldn’t otherwise have seen. But that Definitely doesn’t mean that I know what these places are or the history behind them. Maybe it wasn’t his day but overall on this exact day, not a worth it experience for 2 1/2 hours
Mirvohid es un buen chico, pero creo que no conectó del todo con el grupo, es posible que la ruta elegida no diera juego para más. Echamos en falta que de forma proactiva diera más tips sobre la ciudad. Yo me aburrí, lo siento. Por último, la foto del tour da lugar a engaño porque sale una imagen del complejo Hazrati Imam, y no pasamos ni cerca. Yo personalmente lo esperaba en el recorrido.
