I was very disappointed with the "Lanterns & Legends: Hoi An Night Walking Tour" led by Vy. Despite the allure of Hoi An's famous lantern lights, we only spent the last 10 minutes with them, which fell far short of my expectations. Unfortunately, the tour started with Vy discussing expected cost contributions, including fees to Guru Walk, with a minimum of 230,000 VND, which felt uncomfortable. The tour itself seemed more like a sales pitch, with constant stops to encourage purchases and frequent “You wanna buy?” prompts. It lacked the genuine feel of a local-guided tour, and Vy’s teacher-like manner with repetitive questions further detracted from the experience. The commercial focus and lack of authentic city exploration were disappointing. I cannot recommend this tour.
