Simon sitting us in the sun facing the sun for your introduction on bright sunny hot day seems a bit cruel. The guide said he was cold, but that shouldn’t dictate how you position your group. Spending the first hour out of a total of 2 hours in one church is too much with an excessive amount of minutiae. The Colona family isn’t worth spending over an hour talking about. There’s so much to see in Rome, why blow it all in one church and cemetery? No interaction with his group. Need to liven it up and decrease the seriousness. I’m only trying to be honest after taking many paid and unpaid tours over the years.

We’re sorry that you didn’t appreciate that sunny moment with the rest of the group. The time spent in the church is 25 minutes not 1 hour, and the Colonna family is not the only topic of that visit. The itinerary of the tour includes the highlights of Rome as well as hidden gems and off limits locations. It’s a pity you didn’t get to enjoy the rest of the tour since you dropped out right after half an hour. We’re by no means satisfied with your review, and consider it unjustified. Boring and rude, no smile and monotone voice. We've been on other tours with guruwalk and they was great. He was telling us how much to much to tip him from the start.. all too serious and uncomfortable. After the introduction we couldn't stay any longer, we tried to make it less obvious so other walkers dont notice and skew their opinion on the tour, he chased us aggressively shouting saying we dont just walk off and to tell him etc i told him he did not say to tell him and walks away while im talking.. i felt sorry for everyone else on the tour as they look at me with sympathy as if ive been told off by my strict father. Im surprised this tour has 5 stars, maybe we caught him on a bad day.

Hi Abed, We’re embarrassed to receive this negative feedback. Our guides are enthusiastic storytellers who put passion and humor into every tour they lead. Unfortunately, not everybody understands that the free tours are tip-based. Some people might be participating for the first time and have no idea how it works. That’s why the guides, at the beginning of the tour, explain to the group how the free tours work. They inform everyone about the tipping range, which is usually from €10 to $50, depending on satisfaction with the tour. This information is exactly what is written on every Guruwalk tour by default. Our guides are professionals, and they would never tell anybody how much they should pay. It’s a shame you misunderstood this part. We're disappointed that you chose to leave while the guide was still giving the introduction explaining the rules of the tour, and missed out on the opportunity to enjoy the sights and stories along with the rest of the group. It's important to note that by departing before the actual start of the tour, you were unable to fully evaluate the quality of the experience, yet still opted to leave the lowest rating and a negative comment. This inconsistency not only unjustly affects our overall rating but also misleads potential customers. Once the tour starts, the guide’s responsibility is to entertain the group and describe the landmarks visited.
