Kommunismus Free Tour in Bukarest

Not impressed; biased and one parted story

The tour was supposed to be about the history of Bucharest during the Communist period. We expected real informative content about it, but we just got complaints about the dictator being dumb and maximalist and his wife being ugly and non-educated. We didn’t learn anything that we couldn’t have read in the first paragraph of a Wikipedia article. The tour was a piece of monarchist propaganda, there wasn’t any real critique to the regime, only banal information. Then the guide wasn’t even funny nor had a history expertise, she was saying horrible things while laughing at the same time like a person who tells you about her trauma while laughing and you didn’t even ask her to. I don’t recommend this tour guide if you are interested in learning about the history of Bucharest during the Communist regime.
