I arrived at the meeting point 15 min. early. He didn't show up and didn't answer messages. Looking at other reviews, this isn't the first time. Avoid this guy and go with someone who actually takes it seriously enough to show up.

Usually I never leave reviews but I feel obliged to leave one for Erick. Believe the other reviews when they say that he never turns up because it’s certainly true. My friend and I waited at the meeting point for over an hour, text him multiple times with no response. We ended up actually speaking to another tour guide who knew Erik and said this was nothing out the ordinary for him. Such a massive disappointment. Luckily we managed to book ourselves onto the other English speaking tour at 3pm using again, guruwalks which I would seriously recommend and loved!
We arrived at the designated spot for our 9 am tour, 10 minutes early as recommended. There was another guest waiting. When Erick didn’t show up by 910, we tried unsuccessfully to call and text. When it was evident he was not going to show up, we joined an another guru tour that was meeting at 930 in the same spot. It was a Spanish speaking tour (we only speak english) but everyone, including the guide did speak english, so they changed it to an english speaking tour. At 2 pm, Erick finally contacted us, apologizing and vaguely saying something came up and he couldn’t come. I understand these are free walking tours but still feel a quick alert would have been more professional. Thank goodness for the other guru guide, carlos, and the other guests for accommodating us!
We booked and confirmed our tour, where in time at the meeting point, but the guide didn"t show up.

Despite multiple text messages prior to the tour, the guide did not show up at the start of the tour. I had to message him, then he showed up 10 minutes later. He said 8 people had already canceled, but he would "show me some stuff". From my perspective, he did not seem enthusiastic about the tour, and I did not want anything more to do with him.
