Josipa provided us with a lot of information on the stops. She is very professional and knowledgeable.
Some places of historical importance have been ignored, like the Plaza de Armas or the Basilica de Arequipa. Too much time spent in the Alpaca shop.
Roger arrived 30 minutes later at the meeting point (with only a couple of minutes of notice). The trip then started with a 40 minutes delay. We spent around 50 minutes (!!!) in the periphery of the city. There he showed us one contemporary statue in an unattractive square, and another contemporary monument in the middle of a noisy roundabout. Basically, we were walking in the city’s periphery, surrounded by unattractive places and traffic jam. Cusco is rich is amazing historical places. The old town is big and full of places to discover; its architecture is magnificent. I don’t really understand what is the purpose of doing a free walking tour in the traffic-jammed noisy periphery of the city. I left the tour after around 1 hour. This is not a tour to discover the city’s old town.
