Wir sind zu dritt in Free Tours Riga, alle in Riga geboren, als unser Land noch Teil der Sowjetunion war. Wir lieben unsere Stadt wirklich :) und sind begeistert von unserer Arbeit als Reiseleiter. Wir fühlen uns wirklich privilegiert, die Gelegenheit zu haben, so viele Menschen aus der ganzen Welt zu treffen und unser Wissen, unsere Gefühle, unsere Liebe und unsere Leidenschaft weiterzugeben. Super coole Tour
The tour was great! Great historical context of the city and it's buildings, some cool legends and stories, really nice viewpoints and extra care and attention for the visitors. Also, some really good recommendations on what to do after the tour!
Rita was an amazing guide!! Both the delivery and the content was super fun, instructive and discovered less obvious facts about Riga, Latvia and their food and culture. You can tell she loves her city and what she does. Despite the crazy cold temperatures!!!
I rate our tour 5/5 and I would definitely meet with our guide again to see other sights. Despite -15oC it was a marvellous tour - the snow and twinkling lights at night made it look very magical. We were a small group so were able to move at our own pace. Riga proved to be a curious, slightly romantic looking, compact place that I would love to go back to, to explore it further. As a very frequent traveller, fan of free walking tours and a former guide myself, its worth making participants introduce themselves for context, ask them Qs and share fun facts so they remain engaged, and when its bitterly cold and they feet start freezing off - make them do star jumps, just for fun. :)
