I love to welcome travellors and travelling myself. When you are in my town, I will gladly show you round, if time allows.

As I was the only one who had registered for the walk, we had a great time and where flexible. As it was Friday, we could not go to the Istaqlil mosque and therefore also missed the cathedral. But we started by entering the National Library of Indonesia and from the 24th floor's balconies we had a great view on Jakarta's smoggy downtown and the Independence Square with the Monas. From there we took the bus to Chinatown, for which Kenya had chipcards. We strolled through markets, enjoyed some food and drinks and finally landed at Kotatua, the old (Dutch) part of the town. After a drink at the newly opened Tugu cafe we took the train back to Menteng. She had taken many pics and some videos which she supplied me with via Google. Thanks for more than the expected 3 hours, they were very enjoying!

Paul is a fantastic guide. He had a good eye on a relatively large group, It was fun listening to him, when he presented so many relevant facts. His tips for watching the town from Pinnacle@Dexton for only 6 Dollars and where to eat were super variable.

Hakim is a very friendly guide, who knows lots of things to tell, not only about KL, as he has lived in several countries, even Germany. He supplied us with water and tea, brought us from the old city center (near Old Market) via MRT to KLCC. As his English is very good, he sometimes talkes a bit fast, which might be difficult to follow when there are surrounding noises. But he is much fun, very interested in the people and makes a very good ambassador for KL.

Imrahn is a very friendly person and he knows a lot about Malakka as he has grown up and always lived here. He always tried to imply his guests by asking questions. We saw many places with lots of architectural details. Imrahn tried to make the history alive by showing photos of the past and delivering many facts. We started with the Dutch history at Heerenstr., continued with the Chinese temple, the mosque and the Hindu temple in Blacksmith Street. Then we continued with Menaka Hill, St. Pauls Church and finally ended at the Gate to the fort. More than 2,5 hours we delved into Melaka's history.
