Our guide, Ayoub, was fabulous. He's more a historian and educator than anything. He's a guide you can ask many more in-depth questions and have great conversations with. We had a terrific time, learned a lot and we're very satisfied.

I initially hesitated to leave this review in order not to lower the overall score. However, after the tour, I felt it was important to share my honest experience. Ayoub is a kind and pleasant person, but the tour itself felt very basic and did not meet my expectations. It was more like a casual walk than a structured guided tour. When joining a free walking tour, I expect to learn about the history, culture, and background of the place. In this case, the explanations were quite limited and superficial. Much of the time was spent walking and chatting, and the few stops we made lacked depth. There was little storytelling, historical context, or supporting material (such as photos, anecdotes, or concrete examples) to help participants better understand or visualize the past. Having taken many GuruWalk tours in different cities and countries, I know that it is possible to offer a much richer and more engaging experience. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. I would also like to clarify an important point regarding payment: GuruWalk does not set a minimum fee, and guests are encouraged to pay what they feel is fair. I did pay what I considered fair for the experience. Being asked to pay more, and being addressed about this in front of the group, made me feel uncomfortable. This feedback is not meant to be personal, but honest and constructive. With more preparation, structure, and richer content, this tour could be significantly improved.
