Yenny’s warmth and kindness were undeniable, and the historical focus of the tour was appreciated. Nonetheless, there were some issues: starting the tour 30 minutes late waiting for just a few people resulted in lots of extra time in the heat, and information was often shared through a microphone while walking and facing away, making it impossible to hear (as echoed by fellow participants). Additionally, Yenny's accent might pose comprehension challenges for some. Although she was not the right guide for us, Yenny's genuine kindness shone through.
While hoping for a straightforward history tour, I found this experience veering into unexpected territory. As other reviews have noted, the tour focused more on conspiracy theories delivered seriously and non-ironically involving the Freemasons and Illuminati in the construction of Panama and America, coupled with unsolicited new-age philosophies (e.g., cliches such as, “if you don’t pay for facebook, you’re the product”). As others have noted as well, Victor’s accent might also pose comprehension challenges for some. Despite the overwhelming 5-star reviews, I wish there had been more diverse reviews to make an informed decision. If the themed content aligns with your interests, I would recommend the tour, but it unfortunately was not what I was hoping for.
