Having done a lot of free walking tours before, this one just wasn’t it. Very kind guide but there wasn’t a red thread in the storytelling, lack of excitement overall. I think there is so much to say about the history of this city, but it all was very flat. No myths or legends…
Absolutely fantastic, entertaining and insightful. Melissa gives a show, she is engaging and brings you to beautiful places in the center of Madrid. The hamburger theory works.
Morning well spent, learning more about the history of the city making lots of stops. Maybe we’re being too critical after having done multiple walking tours in Vietnam and other places in the world, but we missed excitement in his stories, and more importantly: interaction. It didn’t feel inviting to ask questions (though he did answer ours), and he almost felt interrupted when we did. He did cover some nice spots with interesting stories so we would still recommend it.
Ming was very experienced and personalised the tour by emphasising to ask him questions. He shared a lot of context, personal opinions, and did it all with a lot of enthusiasm
We visited nice places as part of the tour but the information we got at each place was limited and felt random. Often we were asked to just walk around in the museums and read about it ourselves. There is so much history and nuances to this country and we feel like we could have visited the places by ourselves without the tour as he didn’t add that much. Santosh is kind, we just think it had more potential in this tour.
