An Eye-Opening Tour of Kathputli Colony Slum with Santam I recently had the opportunity to take a guided tour of the Kathputli Colony Slum, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Our guide, Santam, was exceptional in every way. From the moment we started the tour, his deep knowledge of the community and its history made a lasting impression. He not only provided us with important insights into the daily lives of the people living there but also shared personal stories that gave the tour a unique, human touch. The Kathputli Colony is famous for its community of artists, puppeteers, musicians, and magicians. Santam took us through the narrow streets, introducing us to some of the residents who continue to practice these traditional art forms. What an extraordinary experience! Santan took me to meet some local slum musicians and it was super memorable. They played beautiful music, sang songs for me, and we also dance together. Such a funny and heartwarming moment. Such a pure people. If you wanna experience anti mainstream trip, give this trip a try!
10/10 - highly recommend. This is a unique experience you will have in India. I've joined a slum tour in Mumbai before, but this one was unique as it focused on the artists. The tour guide was also open to spontaneous joiners that I met at my hostel. He knew a lot of people in the colony, so we felt very safe.
A wonderful and funny experience! My girlfriend and I met a lot of beautiful people working as artists, painters, drummers, musicians, singers and dancers doing everything with heart and passion! Enjoys their energy and let you energies vibrate with music, dancing and funny! Not to be missed! ❤️
