Oscar - Stadtführer in Quito

There is nothing I could fault about this tour. We had Tefa as our tour guide and she showed us so much amd explained the history behind everything. Everything she had to say was so interesting. As well as this, we got to try so many different tastings. We got to try some traditional local alcohols (if we wanted), sweets and finally the chocolate tasting which including a full brieding about chocolate in Ecuador. She also showed us a local snack stop where we got empanadas for only a dollar. By the end if the tour, I think the whole group had agreed that this was the best walking tour we've ever done. Oscar was friendly, and informative. Oscar was very friendly and explained a lot about the food we saw and ate. Knowing that we have seen some of the places he was going to take us he tailored the tour a little not have us return to hem but go elsewhere instead.

Oscar is a fantastic tour guide with really good English skills. It was just two of us on his tour and still he took a full 4.5 hours to spend the afternoon with us and not only share amazing food places with us but also talk to us about so many other things of interest. It felt like we made a new friend! He is a very sweet person with a lot of patience for our questions. He gave us insights into local life and the current political situation too. My favorite places on the food tour were a juice stand at the Central market and a boutique coffee roastery, where we learned a ton about the coffee growing and roasting process. By the way, they have amazing vegetarian and vegan food options! I highly recommend this food tour with Oscar.
