This tour was not the best, and I’ve been traveling all through Latin America for the last 6 months doing many walking tours. I signed up for an English tour but the majority of attendees only spoke Spanish so the tour was bilingual, which was no problem at first, but ultimately led to a disengagement between the Spanish and English speakers. Our guide would spend 5 minutes talking in Spanish then 5 minutes in English, which made us constantly have to wait and the tour ended up being 3+ hours long, but at a really slow pace. The guide spoke at a very low volume for the entire duration of the tour, which made it really difficult for the group to hear him even in quiet areas. Being soft spoken is totally fine, but a speaker/mic is necessary. Lastly, our guide also lacked enthusiasm and energy, which wasn’t the best introduction or representation to a vibrant city like Guadalajara. In the future, if they add a speaker/mic to amplify their voice so you can hear them better and blend the Spanish and English speaking in a more engaging way so you don’t spend half the tour standing around, I think this tour could be greatly improved!
