Ich habe eine lange Karriere als Ingenieur, Militärdienst, Polizist, Geschäftsmann, Richter hinter mir, also habe ich ein paar Geschichten. Seit ich vor sieben Jahren in den Ruhestand gegangen bin, habe ich eine Ausbildung zum Schauspieler gemacht und vor fünf Jahren die Tourführung aufgenommen. Ich liebe meine Stadt wirklich und habe großen Spaß daran, sie mit Gästen zu erkunden und sie zu überraschen.
I can't tell you what Gordon is like because he wasn't our tour guide, Luke was. I've done a lot of walking tours over the years all over the world, and Luke was not among the best. I'd say he wasn't even among the mediumest. Stops were too few and too long, we covered very little ground and didn't see much of Glasgow, he didn't mention several really interesting things that we passed by, but decided to take us all to an indoor mall instead, something you can see in any city in the world... He kept giving us recommendations for attractions and restaurants that (by his own admission!) he had never been to. What?? How can we trust your recommendation if you haven't even tried it??? And he didn't just pressure us to pay him for a "free tour" but literally DEMANDED payment. Bro said "pay me 😐🫴" In conclusion: dont waste your time with this one. I'm sure there are better walking tours than this in Glasgow.

I was very pleased when I learned the Ian is an actor original from England. First I knew he would perform this tour with a certain grain of acting and second I have a chance to understand what he is saying. Hahaha. Ian was fantastic, love his way of storytelling and all the interesting history of Scotland and Glasgow he transferred to our brains. The tour had a perfect length and had the right group sice. Highly recommended!
