The guide, Michael, shared a variety of cultural and historical insights that helped me understand the uniqueness of Kyoto. He had us participate in 2 cleansing rituals at a Buddhist temple site, gave us some free time to go into a couple of the buildings he suggested, and asked us about our thoughts. Pace was comfortable, allowing us to take photos along the way. Highly recommend taking this tour in your first day since Michael sends tips and restaurant suggestions following the tour.
