I've done these free tours all over Europe and always been thrilled, so I thought I'd try one in my own hometown, well I still haven't done one. Waited at the meeting point, no guide. Then when I'd already given up hope and was on the train home he called and asked me to come back. I didn't. If he'd called or texted me that he was going to be late ahead of time, I would have waited, but he didn't. Awful customer service.
Francisco was an absolutely fantastic guide, and did the tour for me alone. Fun, friendly, knowledgeable; tons of cool stories; and his tour included a delicious pastry, a beer break, and cherry liqueur served up by a sweet Portuguese granny. Well done dude. I've done these free tours all over Europe, and Francisco is one of the best guides I've ever had. 5* Thanx Francisco.
Had a phenomenal time with Jan. He was fun, friendly, and informative but never boring. Made me proud to be an American for a moment when he told us that during WW2, the Soviet army wanted to eat the famous Lipizanner stallions, but they were saved by America's General Patton.
Lovely tour of the old town with Piran. She was knowledgeable, fun, friendly, and full of useful and interesting info. Glad I got to spend a few hours with her.
