Suryawan was patient and was able to answer all the questions that I had asked. He brought me through some private area where I would normally not dare to go in. He seems to be quite knowledgeable about the Mataram Kingdom and provided very interesting details.
Fantastic tour and super off-the-beaten-track. Very interesting and highly recommended with a lot of local insights.
I travelled alone but 5 joined tour total. Suryawan was very friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. I liked the route a lot, through interesting historical places; market where I tried nice food and drink; cute alley neighbourhoods with wall art. he pushed thru with the tour even if it was just me. learned a lot especially about this less visited area by tourists in Yogyakarta
Suryawan is a very friendly guide who knows a lot about the history of Java and Jogja. He gave great insights into the Javanese culture. The sights visited were really interesting. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about the history of Yogyakarta!
