Thanks Scott for the walking tour through Arusha today! It gave us a very good first impression of the Tanzanian city live, the recent history and the culture. I think the tour is a good way to spend the evening before leaving for the safari so you can get to know Arusha a bit more. Scott still held the tour even though I was the only person who signed up. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I think the tour is just OK because at half of the locations there is the underlying expectation for you to buy things as a tourist (the Tanzanite Experience, spice market and the Masai market). I did learn some things at these locations and the vendors were nice but I do not think it makes for the best tour. I would recommend doing this tour with more than one person to have a better time.
