Since 2022 I started 'Collected Stories', my own very little cute conceptstore in the historic centre of Gouda. It is located in one of the smallest Canal houses of Gouda! In my conceptstore I combine two things. I sell handmade gifts (locally made) and I walk with people through the lovely old city centre. If you like to start with a drink and bite (view on the Gouwe river) and walk with a local through the beautiful town of Gouda? Then come to Collected Stories!
Suzanne is fantastic! She knows a lot about the history of Gouda and is very engaging and curious about the tour participants as well. I love that she started the tour off with a coffee and local syrup waffle. Ask her about art and food recommendations if you are spending extra time in Gouda!

I definitely recommend this tour! If you consider to visit Gouda, the best day is THURSDAY because the cheese 🧀 market is a must see experience. I was so pleasantly surprised 🥰 Suzanne is a real gem: she is polite, friendly, easy-going, she knows a lot of details for the places we visited and we made a food tour: starting with waffles, coffee and fresh mint tea, continuing with olie ballen with dates and powdered sugar, then getting freshly made waffles with coffee, then visiting the cheese market where we tried different kinds of cheese from different farms and with different herbs, after that we visited the seafood market and we got haring and typical dutch seafood varieties and ofcourse we finished the tour with more coffee and chocolates. 🥰 I was super impressed from the the city hall, such a beautiful building, from the cheese market and the farmers who trade their cheese and from the churches we saw. In one of them there are many beautiful paintings. We also were walking on different streets and we saw a baby duck and its mum duck in the river. Suzanne answered all my questions and the tour really felt like I am with a friend who I knew for my entire life. Thank you for the amazing day, Suzanne ♥️
Start der Tour war in ihren kleinen snuggeliggen Geschäft 'collected storries'. Dort wurden wir mit kaffee und typischem gouda keks begrüsst. Dabei lernten wir uns kennen und sie hat uns die ersten Informationen von/über Gouda mitgeteilt. Der spaziergang/die führung glich eher einem informativen walk mit einem freund/in als einer straff organisierten tour. So lernten wir viel mehr über gouda und die niederlande kennen.besonders zu erwähnen ist der besuch des käsemarktes-historisch nachgestellte szenen um das treiben am marktplatz. Wir empfehlen diese tour allen die mehr wissen wollen, die einen Menschen kennenlernen wollen und sich dazu auch die zeit nehmen -genauso wie Suzanna. Top!!!!!!
