Hi to all the tourists out there who are excited to get to know more about my hometown of Venice. I'm licensed tour guide, I've been doing walking tours for seven years, and I was born and raised in Venice. Over this period, I have met people from many different cultures and had the chance to share some of Venice's most beautiful places and many of it's hidden secrets. I have enjoyed the experience so much, that I have earned over 250 5-star reviews on TripAdvisor for my tours in Venice.

Tour description

Welcome to one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Venice! Join my tour if you want to know more about everything this amazing city has to offer. Being a native, I know all about the interesting stories that Venice and its famous streets, canals and buildings have to tell you. I love helping tourists discover the lesser known and more hidden history of Venice. On my tours, I have many fascinating anecdotes that really make the city and its colorful past come to life.
This tour includes, but is not limited to these iconic places:

  • the Jewish ghetto
  • the oldest Jewish ghetto in the world
  • Casino di Venezia, the oldest casino in the world.
  • The Church of the Illuminati,
  • The Rialto fish market,
  • The Rialto Bridge (featured in the 007 film Casino Royale)
  • The site of the old brothels

What are you waiting for!? Book your tour with me and discover a side of the city that many tour guides never give you the chance to see. Find out why so many travelers have given me a 5 star review on TripAdvisor! Thank you so much my friend!

We always take free walking tours and we love them. We always like to give a Canada bag with Canadian goodies with our tip

Francesco was not the one that provided the tour, he was instead replaced by Marc. Marc did a good job and provided interesting information.

This tour explores some of the lesser-known sights of Venice. The church was very cool. Other stops were hit and miss. This is definitely different from every other tour in the city.

Excellent tour. It will be much better if we could understand his English better.

5 stars! Francesco was ill so Mark stood in for him. Mark was there when I arrived at 3:15 and he began the tour at 3:35. Although Mark is an American, this did not affect his ability to show us the "real" Venice one bit. I could feel the love he had for this city and that made me connect deeper to Venice since I'm also a foreigner myself. He cracked a lot of jokes but also shared a lot of proper information from a local's perspective (e.g. random questions from the group on boat ownership in the lagoon, emergency services on the island, who the masons are...). A very charming introduction to Venice and I will remember Sideways Bridge the next time I cross one lol.
