Had a wonderful tour introducing my wife and I to Tallin this morning. Kadri spent time talking about the history of Estonia, her own family and how they were impacted in the last forty years by the change of governments. There are a lot of places to see in the old city, and this tour was only a sampling - but it set the foundation for us to spend the next few days walking around all the side streets and visiting the numerous museums and churches.

Europe can boast of having some of the most beautiful, best preserved and most historic tourist destinations in the world. An example of this is the capital of Estonia, Tallinn. Recognized as a World Heritage Site in 1997, this beautiful town on the shores of the Baltic Sea is a clear example of the medieval European city, with an impressive and truly impressive historical center that has reached our days in excellent conservation conditions. Known as the pretty girl of the Baltic, this villa of great strategic value formerly known as "Kaluria" oozes history in each of its corners. Place of passage of several towns and cultures, they helped to forge the character of this city that today is considered one of the favorite tourist destinations in Europe. A perfect stop for lovers of the best cuisine in the area, such as "sauerkraut" sausages, "sült" or pork hands, or the local blood sausage known as "verivorst".
